Useful things to know!

Belgium

Bruxelles-Midi and Brussel-Zuid are different names for the same station. Brussels Central is a different station.

Public transport tickets for Brussels, Paris & the Netherlands can be purchased at the Bar-buffet carriage of Thalys trains.


France

It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from Lille Europe to Lille Flandres. Both stations are located in the town centre, and near to the big shopping centre EuraLille.

On TGV EST services there is an Office space, located in carriages 5/15 and 7/17 in Standard class. This space cannot be reserved prior to departure, it is available on a first come, first serve basis. This area has power sockets so passengers can use their laptops or charge a mobile phone.

Boarding of the Elipsos TrenHotel takes place 45 minutes before departure from all departure stations, except for Zurich which is 15 minutes before departure. Passengers can board at intermediate stops a couple of minutes before scheduled departure.

Avignon TGV station is situated 15 minutes outside of the city centre. For those passengers wishing to make onward connections, a shuttle bus runs between Avignon TGV station and Avignon Centre station. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes and runs about every 20 minutes. Cost is approximately €3 for a single journey.


Germany

Prague to Cologne sleeper first class allows you to use DB first class lounge.*

First Class Hi-Life Thalys ticket holders can use the VIP lounge in Cologne.

First Class ICE tickets grant access to DB lounges at Berlin, Bremen, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Frankfurt Airport, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Leipzig, Mannheim, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart stations. Lounges are open between 7am and 9pm.

First Class passholders are not granted access to first class DB lounges.

Free drinks and refreshments are available in first class DB lounges.


Italy

There is a yellow free bus between Ancona station and the ferry port.*

First class lounges are available to Flessible first class ticket holders.*

Club Eurostar lounges are available only to Club Eurostar frequent traveller card holders.*


Netherlands

First Class Hi-Life Thalys ticket holders can use the VIP lounge in Amsterdam, Schipol and Rotterdam.

Public transport tickets for Brussels, Paris & the Netherlands can be purchased at the Bar-buffet carriage of Thalys trains.


Portugal

Ticket holders for the Lusitania (Lisbon to Madrid sleeper service) are entitled to special parking rates at Lisboa Oriente station on presentation of a valid return ticket. Up to 24h = £1.50, up to 36h = £2.50, up to 48h = £3.00, up to 60h = £4.50 and up to 72h = £5.00. After 72h normal parking rates apply. Prices are approximate and subject to change at anytime.

Gran Class and Preferente ticket holders for the Lusitania (Madrid to Lisbon sleeper service) have access to Club lounge at Madrid Chamartín station for Gran Class and Preferente customers.


Spain

Grand and Club Class ticket holders for Elipsos TrenHotel services are entitled to free car parking at Madrid Chamartín and Barcelona França train stations (24 hours for single ticket, 48 hours for return ticket). Parking is subject to availability.

Grand and Club Class ticket holders for Elipsos TrenHotel services are granted access to the Sala Club AVE lounge at Barcelona França and Madrid Chamartin & Eurostar Italia lounge at Milan Centrale.

With your Elipsos Trenhotel ticket, you can travel free of charge on commuter trains from Chamartín station to Atocha station in Madrid (if you have a connecting ticket with departure from Atocha) and from França station to Sants station in Barcelona.

Club and Preferente Class ticket holders for AVE services have access to Sala Club AVE lounges in Alicante, Barcelona Sants, Tarragona, Castellon, Cordoba, Lleida, Malaga, Madrid Chamartín, Madrid Atocha, Murcia, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid and Zaragoza. Lounges are air-conditioned with daily newspapers and magazines, TV, comfortable seats, telephone, fax, Internet and drinks. Access to lounges is permitted up to 2 hours before train departure, on the day of departure.

Club and Preferente Class ticket holders for AVE services are entitled to free car parking at the main AVE train stations (24 hours for single ticket, 48 hours for return ticket). Parking is subject to availability.

Club Class ticket holders for AVE services have access to conference room on the train (cannot be prebooked).

Gran Class and Preferente ticket holders for the Lusitania (Madrid to Lisbon sleeper service) have access to Club lounge at Madrid Chamartín station for Gran Class and Preferente customers.


Switzerland

United Kingdom

Parking at Eurostar stations: London St Pancras: Approx. £22 per day. Ebbsfleet International: Up to 1 hour: £1, up to 5 hours: £4.50, Daily rate: £8, between 2 and 6 days: £6 per day, weekly rate: £37. Ashford International: Up to 1 hour: £1, up to 5 hours: £4.50, Daily rate: £11.50, Weekly rate: £69, Annual Season Ticket: £700. Eurostar executive lounges are accessible to Carte Blanche holders and Business Premier ticket holders. There are executive lounges in London, Paris and Brussels. In these lounges, customers will find marble bar counters, free bar, armchairs, internet access, newspapers and magazines, and mobile phone chargers. In Ashford International and Ebbsfleet International Carte Blanche holders and Business Premier ticket holders can access a small lounge, the "quiet area".
